The following time zones will cross the millennium line the latest, at 11:00 UTC, 2000-1-1:
- US - Hawaii: Midway Islands
- Niue
- American Samoa
- West Samoa
The following time zones will cross the millennium line the very first, at 10:00 UTC, 1999-12-31:
- Tonga/Tongatapu
- Kiribati - Line Islands
A quarter of an hour later will follow, at 10:15 UTC:
- New Zealand - Chatham Island
At 11:00 UTC, 1999-12-31, the following time zones will light their fire works:
- Fiji
- Kiribati - Phoenix Islands
- New Zealand - most locations (Auckland)
- Antarctica/New Zealand- Scott Base, Ross Island
- Antarctica/USA - McMurdo, Ross Island
By then the new millennium has really started, but you could make a positive wish to someone in the following zones, at 12:00 UTC:
- Russia - Kamchatka (Petropavlovsk)
